My name is Nicas Marandu, born and raised in Moshi, Tanzania. In 2015 I founded the Nicas Education and Technology center, with the goal to improve life in my village and kilimanjaro region.The free nursery/baby care have 50 kids every year age 3 to 5 and everning project have more than 100 kids in program.we terach art,technology,sustanable farming,school subjects and language. beside organise trips and activities in the region for tourists with locals, which provides income for multiple families. this center connects volunteers from all over the world to projects in the Moshi area. Selling of Paintings help of the center, a lot of volunteers and travellers have been of great support for the school by donating food,equipnment,school supples,aslo by buy art,teach and do hand work,sharing info,and many more

In 2017 I discovered a way to help more people: running shops on afrikrea to sell our fantastic local products worldwide. In the Kiboriloni society not a lot of people have acces to internet. , or knowledge about e-commerce. afrikrea provides a way for my neighbors,local artists to expand their market and introduce our products, made with love and devotion to the whole world, and thereby introducing a bit of Tanzania.

THE ARTIST

Ziggy is one of my oldest friends. Because of the high enrollment fees, Ziggy could not go to school. But fortunately Ziggy has a special talent, he is the best painter in Tanzania and a real artist. He loves painting and sells his paintings to local tourist shops. Although the shops charge high prices for the tourists, Ziggy does not benefit. Since opening his own shoptoo expensive, Ziggy has a hard time making money, buying materials for painting and taking care of his family every day. By selling his paintings online Ziggy hopes to make a living and create a better future for his children.
