We started Jabari Watches to inspire and preserve Maasai heritage in the age of cultural convergence and loss of traditions. We work directly with Maasai artisans and communities to develop modern fashion watches; while complementing it with glass beads which have played a role in the Maasai legacy since the 19th century.

The Maasai people are Nilotic, pastoralist, community residents of East Africa. They are traditionalists and have disregarded the Kenyan and Tanzanian governments ambition to promote a modern lifestyle. However, with the rapid pace of globalization and modernization, the traditional Maasai way of life has gradually been affected.

Inspired by the Maasai tribe’s classic tradition, Jabari Watches develops its own sophisticated line of watches with handmade straps to share with the world.
