Africanease began as a dream for a platform where the lingual, cultural and historical boundaries between African countries are broken down. The hope and guiding force behind Africanease is to celebrate all that is authentically African regardless of its origins for a more unified and prosperous continent.

Our designs are aimed at revisiting global fashion trends with an African perspective. We want to redefine what is considered fashionable and make it unique to us. We envision a world where African aesthetics are as mainstream as bomber jackets and stiletto heels. Indeed, we want to see African prints, beads and shields on street-wear as well as couture.

Within this context, we also want to redefine the international identity of "African designs". Our designs go beyond the popular wax cloth references and dip into the cultures of each African country. Moroccan tile patterns, Kente cloths and Masaai Shuka designs are all part of the inspirations that we bring to Africanease.

We hope that our vision translates through our designs and that buyers can enjoy the fruits of our labor.
